Join us for an exciting 8 week Men’s 5.0+ MoneyBall tournament series, hosted weekly at The Kitchen headquarters. Each week, partners will be randomly assigned, with the winning team taking home $300 and the runner-up receiving $100. Points are awarded based on results in each event:
Semi-Finals: 250 points
Runner-Up: 500 points
Champion: 750 points
Each player is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games and a maximum of 5 games. There will be 6 teams total and 1 court per event. To ensure fair competition, teams will have a minimum DUPR of 10.0 and a maximum of 10.99, with all matches being recorded in DUPR.
Format
Round Robin:
Two pools of 3 teams
Play all teams once to 11 cap at 13, regular scoring
ALL teams advance and are seeded
Top 2 teams will receive a bye
Quarter Finals
#3 vs #6 and #4 vs #5 will play one game to 11 cap at 13 regular scoring
Losing teams will be eliminated
Winning teams will advance to play the #1 and #2 team
Semi Finals
Remaining 4 teams will play one game to 15 cap at 17 regular scoring
Winning teams will advance to the championship
Losing teams will be eliminated but will earn 250 points
Championship
Top 2 teams play 1 game to 15 or 2/3 to 11 win by 2 side out depending on available time
Winning team will receive $300 and 750 points
Runner ups will receive $100 and 500 points
At the end of the series, the top-performing players' best three tournaments will be tallied to determine the top player who qualify for the Mega Pot MoneyBall Finale on October 29th. In the event of a tie, qualifying players will be determined by averaging their partners' DUPR scores; the player with the lowest partner DUPR average will qualify. If a top player is unavailable to play in the finale, spots will be opened to players who have participated in prior series events or to the broader player pool with DUPR scores within the competition range.
